General School Information
Room Representatives
Every class has 1-2 parents who serve as "Room Representatives". The Room Rep works with the teacher, helping him/her to communicate to parents regarding events, trips, and class parties. The Room Rep also plays a key role in creating the teacher’s “May Basket”. Specific duties depend on the grade.
Wednesday Folders
Every St. Michael School student will need a special "Wednesday Folder". Every Wednesday, the school administration and/or teacher sends important information home in the student’s Wednesday Folder. The Wednesday Folder is one of the important communication methods used by St. Michael School. The Wednesday Folder is also used as a return envelope when you need to send things back to the school.
School Pictures
School pictures are taken in September and May. Children are not required to wear their uniforms on picture day. Information regarding picture day is sent home in the “Wednesday Folders”.
Meals / Hot Lunch
St. Michael School does not currently have a cafeteria. Students bring their lunch from home, and eat with their classmates in their classrooms. A hot lunch is offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The menu varies each week. However, every Friday is pizza day. Volunteers assist with distributing the hot lunches from 11:00 am – 11:30 am.
School Store
The School Store is located in the Middle School Wing of the school. The store
is open in the morning from 7:45 am - 8:15 am, and then again at lunchtime from
11:40 am - 12:30 pm. Pencils, pens, notebooks, folders, crayons, glue sticks,
etc. as well as snacks, water, Gatorade, chips, etc. are offered for sale.
Volunteers help staff the school store.
